This series has been consistently excellent and that continues with Book 15. Great suspense on how the invasion storyline played out and an edge of your seat climax. Enjoyed the incorporation of current “pandemic” events into the storyline. Only sorry I have to wait until 2022 for Book 16. Another great read by Chesser. Spoiler alert.This one starts with the Wolverines. They are a group who have attacked the Chinese who are using the ports a Seattle, Washington. The wolverines are lead by Retired Army Lt. Colonel Alamo Baker. He sees these Chinese invaders as his Soviets, and his actions are his Red dawn.The Chinese are using American ports to offload men and supplies. China got hit just as hard as the resto of the world when China released their bug on the world. China is covered in billions of walking dead so the surviving Chinese leaders decided America would be their new home.Baker and his people decided, nope. Not America. They have planned and pulled of many raids against the Chinese invaders. The latest involved two American Hummers the Chinese stole and repurposed for their use. Once the ambush proved to be effective Baker, using binoculars, looked at the port. A port full of Chinese vessels. He watched as the Rods from God decimated the Chinese ships. All were sunk. Baker left his Wolverine card on the bodies from his ambush.In Boise, Idaho, thirty six year old Delta operator Cade Greyson who is Anvil Actual, the leader of this team. SWO SEAL Adam Cross, Fui "Nat" Natanumo, 7th Special Forces Group, cut the twelve foot tall fence so they could get through it. Petty officer William "Griff" Griffin another SEAL and Javiar "Low Rider" Lopez, and Nigel "Axe" Axelrod, SAS who is the fifth member of the team called Pale Riders. They came from Paterson Air force base in the New District formerly called Colorado Springs for this mission. The New District is the new capital of what's left of America.Where they are is crop land with acres of potatoes. JR EPLOT FARMS. They head for the many buildings and look for signs of life. A door opens and a PLA soldiers heads over for a smoke. As the door opened the whole team hit the ground and watched.Once it was clear the team entered that building. One of the odd thing's they found was a bullet puller and a Rubbermaid bin full of decayed flesh. What they don't realize is that this was going to cost them Lopez who was struck with a bullet coated in that stuff. It would turn him into a deader.So begins another great read by Chesser.This one has Cade, Raven Duncan, Daymon, Cades team, a trip to Eden where they find Jaimie and Lev dead, killed by Cobra a Chinese team similar to the Pale Riders, a Raven on assignment and outside the wire who manages to save herself and those with her, Ari Silver, Hughes and Jedi one the stealth chopper the Pale Riders use, and Ari who is a master with Jedi One, Kai Zhen the leader of the Cobras, a man who has spread murder and cruelty wherever he goes, a man who knows China is done and America is the nation he and his PLA men need to take over to survive and Cade Greyson and his pale riders who will stop them.Five Stars once again. Man I hated that Jamie and Leve are out of these stories. Jamie had almost a whole book that she was a Main character in. Lev the Iraq war vet has always been a solid squad mate and shooter for Cade. I sure will miss both.
